About Us

Don Pyle is a Toronto-born and based musician, producer and artist.  He has released a dozen albums with the various groups he has been a member of, including Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, Phono-Comb, Greek Buck and Black Heel Marks. Collaboratively or solo, he’s scored films for Wrik Mead, John Greyson, and Derek von Essen, and with Shadowy Men, scored the TV series Kids in the Hall, Mina Shum’s Double Happiness and Ron Mann’s Comic Book Confidential.  His engineering and production credits include releases by The Sadies, Iggy Pop, Peaches, The Two Koreas, King Cobb Steelie and Tied To The Branches.

The earliest photos he shot were taken at the age of four, with a red plastic Sabre “620” camera but he graduated to a 35mm Canon AT-1 in 1977, just in time for the first wave of punk rock. Trouble In The Camera Club is his first book. His favourite band ever is the Ramones.
