An article in the Calgary Herald about photographer Arif Ansari was brought to my attention recently. I am cited as an influence on his work, which of course is very flattering. His exhibit of music photos, “Rawk”, is on display now in Calgary at Concept Lounge, 908 17th Ave SW. His Flickr page is here and includes photos of The Brenda Vaqueros, Grown-Ups, Exploding Pigs, Cripple Creek Fairies, The Ex-Boyfriends, The Mants, The Primrods, Blist, The Von Zippers, Forbidden Dimension, Cowpuncher and more.
He also shot this excellent picture of Lethbridge, ABs greatest export, Fist City – a band I had the pleasure of producing recordings for earlier this year.
